Charles Leclerc and Alex Albon are set to participate in a special sim racing event ahead of the Monaco Grand Prix, streamed live from Monte Carlo on the official Formula 1 YouTube channel.
In Electronic Arts’ ‘The Ten Racers’ competition, the Ferrari and Williams drivers will compete in a virtual race on the iconic Monaco street circuit using the new F1 24 video game, launching on May 31. Joining them will be football stars Diogo Jota and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, as well as content creators WillNE, Chesnoid, Liam Kalevi, AverageF1Consumer, MaximeMXM, and ElReyGuiri. The event kicks off at 1900 BST (2000 CEST, 1400 ET).
This virtual race marks the beginning of an action-packed weekend in the Principality and will challenge the drivers on the latest EA SPORTS F1 game for the first time ahead of its release later this month.
F1 24 aims to provide fans with the most realistic gaming experience yet, featuring the new EA SPORTS Dynamic Handling, which enhances precision control and redefines the car’s feel for both wheel and controller users. The game also includes a revamped ‘Career’ mode and updates to some of the iconic circuits on the F1 calendar.
Players who pre-order* the digital-exclusive Champions Edition of F1 24 will receive immediate access to new-season F1 team liveries for use in ‘Time Trial’ mode in F1 23, along with James Hunt and Juan Pablo Montoya as Icons, 18,000 Pitcoin, an F1 World Bumper Pack, up to three days of early access starting May 28, and a bonus VIP Podium Pass. Those pre-ordering the Standard Edition will receive 5,000 Pitcoin and an F1 World Starter Pack.
Collette Gangemi, Director of Gaming & Licensing at Formula 1, commented, “Ahead of the official launch of F1 24 next week, ‘The Ten Racers’ is set to be an incredibly exciting competition featuring some of the best talents in motorsports, football, and content creation. This event will give fans an early glimpse into this year’s game and kick off the racing action for the Monaco Grand Prix weekend. It’s definitely one to watch!”
